CHanges In practice due to covid-19

Effective Monday March 23rd 2020: To best protect our team members and our clients/patients, and follow the recommended guidelines of the CDC, we will begin instituting the following changes:

• We are limiting our lobby usage, and directing clients to either available exam rooms or to wait in their cars until otherwise directed.
• A maximum of 2 family members will be permitted to accompany any pet into the clinic.
• If you or someone you have had close contact with are sick, have a respiratory illness, and/or fever - we ask that you find someone else to bring your pet to the office or see our options for digital consultations.
• If you are healthy, call ahead of your arrival for more detailed instruction on how to have your pet treated.
  • Once you arrive, call to let our reception staff know you are in the parking lot. If an exam room is open, you will be directed to the open exam room. At that point you must remain in the exam room for the duration of your visit (no waiting in the lobby).
    
  • If no exam room is available and the pet is stable, owners and pets should wait in their cars. Please ensure reception staff has the owners phone #. When a room becomes available, we will call the owner and direct them to come in to the open exam room.
• When the visit is complete, all clients will be directed to leave through the rear exit door. This will improve client flow and limit client overlap in our lobby.
• We are discouraging all patient visits for vaccinations and other routine procedures for stable pets until at least April 6th, 2020. We will be in touch with any clients who currently have a routine appointment scheduled during that time.
• If you are ill or are in self-quarantine but you pet needs to be seen, we do have options for digital consultations through Facetime, Skype, Facebook Messenger, or just verbally over the phone. You will need an appointment for a digital consultation, please call the office if you are interested in this format.
• No walk-in medication refills will be honored. If you currently receive pet medications from our clinic - you must call ahead for any needed refills and call when you are in the parking lot for a receptionist to process the transaction and bring the medication to you. This is an attempt to reduce the number of individuals coming into the office.
